The Door to December by Dean Koontz
2.0
i have a hard time with koontz.
the plots never change (from book to book). the characters never change (from book to book)
his newer stuff is better. eventually a good guy (even if only a secondary character) needs to lose, the dog needs to die, the male protagonist needs to not be honorable and alone, and/or the female protagonist needs to have not overcome some horrible childhood tragedy that makes her withdrawn, but generally a good person just needing a knight to come save her.
so while they are usually enjoyable, i am not able to tell you which books of his i've read and which ones i haven't unless i look at my library.
