I just adore this whole second generation series of one of my all time favorite romance series- it's been so amazing to be back in the Dublin Street world!  A Royal Mile is a heartfelt friends-to-lovers story filled with slow-burn pining and emotional restraint, chock full of those flawed by endearing Samantha Young characters I always adore and her beautifully emotional prose. 

The friends to lovers tension really builds in this one- so much pining and a good dose of angst! And also plenty of banter and push-pull moments just on the edge of caving. A slow burning longing that builds up until these two finally recognize what's between them and take the risk. Their chemistry explodes, all that buried emotion bubbling to the surface. And just when you think things are smoothing out, Samantha throws in a late twist that shakes things up too.

Royal romances aren’t usually my favorite and the pacing of this felt a bit slow in places with some of the drama and slow burn, but the couple’s relationship is really endearing and the HEA was worth the wait. All in all, a fantastic addition to the series that I'm loving so far. If you love angsty romance, slow-burn chemistry, friends to lovers pining, sharp banter, and royal romance with a modern twist, this one’s definitely worth picking up.
