I didn't realize that this was an abridged version (I was lured by the 4 hour duration, considering how far behind my reading goal I am), so it was a little disappointing. The characters were surface level only and the action went in leaps and bounds rather than in a measured pace. That being said, I was able to follow the story even if a lot of the detail was left out and I can see the appeal of some of the characters.
