this was my first Mona Awad book and i came out of it feeling 😵💫😵💫 when i finished, i thought “i’m not creative enough to be a writer, bc what was that” lmao
Mira’s journey in the book showed the horrors & confusion of white beauty standards, the skincare craze, obsession, mother/daughter relationships, and crazy ass rich people. I loved it! i do think the ending was lacking, particularly in the discussion of whiteness
