Time for the Stars by Robert A. Heinlein
3.0
This book was heartbreaking and so, so dated.
I think it's not supposed to be heartbreaking, but I'm a twin, and there is nothing sadder than the idea of being separated from my sister for the rest of my life or coming home to find her old.
And it's SO dated. There are just little bits of sexism thrown in for no reason. My favorite quote from the whole book was at the end when he comes back to earth after 70 years have gone by and says something like, "the things these women are wearing now! Going outside without a thing on their heads like a bunch of animals. I'm glad my dad didn't live to see it. He made my sisters wear hats to dinner even though my brother and I were the only unmarried men at the table." Hilarious.
