Lady Mechanika, Volume 1: Mystery of the Mechanical Corpse by Joe Benitez
4.0
SPOILER ALERT, MAYBE
It is nice to finally have a story with a female lead that does not revolve around their sexuality, love interest, or ultimate need to be rescued by a male. Lady Mechanika stands on her own two feet. She is intelligent, resourceful, and entirely capable of kicking a lot of butt.
Really, my only real criticism is that there is too many word balloons drawing attention away from the beautifully depicted steampunkish world created by the author.
