This was scathing and I loved it. Quite literally, fuck them men πŸ–•πŸ–•πŸ–•. My favorite type of mythology retelling, obviously feminist. I loved the portrayel of women using their soft power to influence things and get shit done. Plus almost every single one of these men (and boys, since they were mostly boys) were fucking incompentent and I love to see it.

I loved the format, with Hera being the narrator and an observer of these events. While we definitely could have had the story from Penelope's POV, I liked that it was Hera's, an outsider's perspective on everything, that definitely fed into the mythological feel of the story. Genuinely laugh out loud funny at times. Also the author made Athena a pick-me and I find that fucking hilarious.

Telemarchus reminded me why I will never have children. Finally, fuck them poets πŸ–•πŸ–•πŸ–•
