I can't believe I waited SEVEN YEARS to finally read this after Son of Neptune.

Holy fuck was it good.

I knew how it ended, but holy shit was I still not ready. And I did not realize it would be that intense. I was legit tearing up.

There has not been a book boyfriend this self sacrificing and loving since Peeta Mellark.

Ladies and gentlemen, Percy "you dropped this" Jackson. That scene had me legit swooning. The cockiness and sarcasm. This guy is EVERYTHING.

The thing I was most eager for, obviously, was the Percabeth reunion and it did not disappoint. Everything about it was perfect, including her flipping his ass. Their relationship is honestly so well developed and beautiful.

AND CAN WE TALK ABOUT THE MOMENT WHEN PERCY TOTALLY RELATES TO LUKE AND AGREES THE GODS MIGHT BE BETTER THAN GAIA AND THE TITANS BUT THAT DOESN'T MEAN THEY'RE GOOD AND HE UNDERSTANDS WHY LUKE BECAME RESENTFUL ESPECIALLY NOW THAT HE'S THE AGE LUKE WAS AND OMG THE FULL CIRCLE. (Part of me is hoping they see Luke in the underworld?)

I continue to think Leo is the most annoying of the seven and I was just waiting for his POVs to end and get to someone else. This apparently makes me the odd man out, but I could do without his POV. I just find him so exhausting, immature, and annoying.

I still don't understand why people hate Jason. But I will say seeing him and Percy together, I kind of get the comparisons and people feeling like he's a Percy 2.0 but not as good (because no one could beat Percy) but I do love him. And I love that Nico and others confirmed that Percy is the strongest demi god, unmatched by even Jason lol!

I wish there was more Frank in this one, I feel like he got a lot less than everyone else, but I liked the dynamic of him, Hazel, and Leo and what we learned of Hazel and Leo's connection.

Piper and Hazel were fun but I feel like they felt a little bit more like side characters (along with Frank) this one.

I do like all of the couples for sure, but nothing compares to Percabeth.

I find the background plot of the Roman demigods attacking Camp Halfblood interesting, but annoying. It honestly makes me really dislike Camp Jupiter. Them being willing to turn on Percy and freaking JASON so quickly is wild to me and just shows such a lack of loyalty and decency. I'm interested to see how this plays out.

I'm so happy Nico is okay, but I'm so sad to see him so fractured and hurt. And it makes me so freaking scared for Percy and Annabeth and what they'll go through.

I'm so happy though that House of Hades will have Percy and Annabeth together, alone, and I'm hoping we get amazing Percabeth moments. I'm so scared for it, but sooooo ready.

Bring on the pain.
