The Illustrated Man by Ray Bradbury
4.0

I read this my freshman year of high school, but it's a book that has remained fondly in my memory. I had read a few stories within the book independently prior, but The Illustrated Man was my first true dive into the writing of Bradbury's. Bradbury's creativity and sharp imagery has created a symphony of emotions within each story within the book. "The Rocket Man" is one of my favorites. I think what makes a sci-fi book remarkable is it's ability to explore possible and impossible realities, yet remain true to the core of the human condition; what binds us all---love, greed, loneliess, the curiosity of the unknown. That is why this book has remained starkly in my mind years later.
