The Exact Opposite of Okay by Laura Steven

5.0

I don't feel as though there are many males posting reviews about this amazing book. So here's my short review of why it should be read by males too...

It's so funny - I work in a library and read the majority of the books in a small hidden away room on the top floor. Not that it mattered, because my laugh echoed around the old building like a tickled ghost every 2 minutes.

It's so relevant - even though I've never sent a dick pic (nor ever will) I know that so many guys do. I think a line in the book goes something like "do guys ever look at their erect penises and think it's attractive?" And it's so true. If you want to send a dick pic, this is my advice, send a selfie.

It's so helpful - to young women and men. I am 24 so I'm practically middle-aged but I imagine it would help the youngsters greatly. The friend zone section at the back, really made me see light, so to speak. Not just because I finished it early morning and the light was coming up but because I'd always regarded the 'friend zone' as a place for guys to feel sorry for themselves. Men make other men believe it's the women's fault for putting you there when really no one's at fault just our faulty way of thinking.

It's so more-ish - I will definitely read the next one, to see if Betty makes a yoga painting masterpiece, what Ajita will dress up in next and if Izzy will get a sphynx cat called Voldemort.

In conclusion guys - do not be put off by the target audience of teenage girls, just read the first page and you'll realise this book is funny enough to give you a prolapse.
