Read this for my "anti-hero" square on r/Fantasy's book bingo and really enjoyed it. The book is not a horror book, but does a really good job of eliciting the kind of tension horror creates in certain scenes of the book. (Cw for a couple medical scenes (beg. and middle) and some pretty intense body horror in the climax.) The book asks good questions about what means justify what ends and what it means to be a hero or a villain. The book also does an expert job or paralleling the protagonist's situation with the antagonist's
as she works to isolate Supercollider and ends up isolating herself in the process
. I recommend this one!
