This book was a wonderful start to my 2022 year in reading. It's angst and trauma but in a way that is digestable in a romance novel. I never thought a book about writing books would or could be that interesting but it captured my whole hearted attention, i mean i even skipped class to finish the book for crying out loud. Its incredibly written and the characters aren't perfect, which to me makes them perfect. With the love (and smut) it was just a fun read and made me miss my summers by the beach. And all I could say is Augustus and January have both become my most perfect favorite people.
Minor: Death of parent, Emotional abuse, and Vomit
Not a gore or traumatic book, but if you have lost a parent or experienced trauma from one be aware it is mentioned in the book. As well as cult victims are also mentioned and speak within the book. Not in a graphic way though. There is a scene where January does through up but again not super graphic.
