Following the events of the "Lords & Ladies" Granny Weatherwax and Nanny Ogg need a 3rd witch because there needs to be 3. But the best candidate ran off to Ankh-Morpork to join the Opera. Granny & Nanny follow her to Ankh-Morpork. We get Terry's version of Phantom of the Opera meets Singing in the Rain with a very long shaggy dog story about a Yogi Berra saying. I am not sure Opera can survive being skewered b Terry Prachett. It is a lot of fun.
