Having grown up loving the Harry Potter books and films, I loved the insights provided in this memoir by Tom Felton into his life and career before, during, and after the Harry Potter films. Listening to his narration in the audio format was like having a conversation with an old friend that you haven’t seen in a while. I appreciated the chapters about his experience on the Harry Potter sets, particularly the details regarding his personal relationship with each of his major costars. I didn’t follow much of Tom’s career after the Potter films, but those chapters were what I found the most moving — his challenges moving to Hollywood, auditioning, and booking roles and his struggles with alcohol and mental health. He shared all of these experiences with a lighthearted, self-deprecating kind of humor and deep reflection that I really appreciated. Overall, this audiobook was an enjoyable experience that I would recommend to any Harry Potter fan.
