I really liked the book! Wasn’t 5 ⭐️, knock-you-on-your-ass, take-your-breath-away amazing, but it was a quick, enjoyable read for me which had me pleasantly surprised! 3rd act troubles in paradise trope has really started to get on my nerves in a lot of cases because it is SO common, but I think this one was really well done and happened for pretty understandable reasons, so it didn’t bother me too much! I liked that the FMC was strong, fiery, and witty, but still very much influenced by her parents and wanting to make them happy even as an adult. I thought this was pretty relatable to me personally, and even the way Dante handled/approached that reminded me of my own husband. So while a lot of people have docked this book points for being “unrealistic,” I find it quite the opposite! (As much as a ‘lifestyle of the rich and famous’-type storyline can be realistic and relatable to my not-at-all-rich ass 😂)
