I really enjoyed the story and Brit Bennett’s writing. The main thing that was a miss for me was the narration style from the perspective of “the Mothers” - I can see where the author was coming from, but something in the execution just felt like a bit of a miss for me. I also wished the ending was a bit more fleshed out.
