Very interesting to read after seeing the movie, although it's been a few years. I'm inclined to rewatch it now because, based on my memory, the movie had a very different attitude towards the "relationship" dynamic in general and Klemmer specifically. IMO, the movie was less damning of him, partially because we got less of his interiority on screen.

The language is so interesting, even in translation.
