like twisted love, i did not expect anything much out of this book—as so the whole series considering the amount of mixed reviews i have seen on various platforms—yet i am still astounded by how much i actually enjoyed reading it. though it doesn't compare to how much i enjoyed the first book, twisted games was still a good read and i love the whole forbidden romance thing that is going on between princess bridget and her bodyguard, rhys larsen.

this book is just as steamy as the first and the fact that i had the bravery to even read this in public a.k.a an approximately 8 hours of a two-way train ride was simply unbelievable to me to say the least. with how well known this series are for booktok readers, i was not surprised to have caught two or three glimpses as i was reading this at the train station while waiting for my train to arrive and yet i simply do not care. perhaps it was because of the toned down cover from what originally was a literal man on the front of the book which i'm glad this edition exists or else i wouldn't even be reading a physical copy in my own home (my mom would dig my own grave).

i love bridget von ascheberg and her character despite being a royal. though the whole storyline is a bit niche, i loved how she is not afraid to make change and stand on her grounds towards the end of it. it's giving the princess diaries 2: royal engagement but make it more adult than the disney original
