Jesus fucking Christ. Putangina.
While I do appreciate the symbolisms for trauma and rebirth, this just feels like extreme trauma porn. However, I guess it does say that it’s an extreme horror?? I feel very conflicted as it was beyond good for what it was but at the same time, I question if all those gory details were necessary to deliver the story or if it was simply for shock value (which certainly proved to be effective).
I guess I can’t stomach all that tragedy wrapped in a book with only a hundred pages.
4 stars I guess since it does warn the reader?
