picked this up when I was in Belgrade and then of course didn’t read it until a german translation came out T_T I’m so slow at reading my serbian and bulgarian books rip
however!!! this was such a DELIGHT!!! I liked this short story collection even better than Call me Esteban and since I read both alongside their german translations by lovely Marie Alpermann I can say that both the writing and translation have improved a lot as well!! the translation especially doesn’t feel awkward at all and flows so nicely <3
writing style vise this specific book also vaguely reminds me of Lyudmila Ulitskaya (and yes I hate making comparisons like that but,,,,,it’s hard not to make them yknow)
anyway!
