So Lucky by Dawn O'Porter

5.0

I’ve had this book on my shelf for a little while and after seeing so many good things mentioned on bookstagram about it - I thought it was definitely time to read it! I absolutely loved this book!
.
Three women; all with totally different lives, who are ‘So Lucky’... but in reality they are all struggling with problems of their own....
Ruby, a mother with a 3 year old daughter called Bonnie, has a condition which she finds humiliating.
Beth, raising her new born but struggling with her marriage and managing her business as a wedding planner.
Lauren, ‘Instagram famous’, about to have the wedding of her dreams, struggling with the pressures of social media to keep up that ‘perfect life’ to her followers.
.
There is always two sides to every story, although people think these women are so lucky, they really do have problems of their own. Feeling like they are failing, they aren’t good enough. Hiding away. Having that photoshopped life for all those millions of followers. No one is perfect but everyone is beautiful regardless.
.
I honestly couldn’t put the book down, and when it got to the point I had to put it down I couldn’t wait to pick it back up again. I really enjoyed this book and thought it was very well written. The characters of Ruby, Beth and Lauren were so likeable. Oh and Risky was such a brilliant character, Beths assistant of her wedding planning business, she was so funny and just positive about everything. Giving all those encouraging and uplifting words. The ending was just so good how they all intertwined together.
.
This is definitely a 5 star
