Lean in: Women, Work, and the Will to Lead by Sheryl Sandberg
informative
3.0
I really enjoyed the first half and took away some useful insights (especially regarding managing a career vs managing a business mindset and how it impacts performance), but the second half was frustrating. Maybe I went into it with incorrect expectations, and maybe I will appreciate it more in a few years when I have children, but I was very disappointed that so much of the book focused on family life. I picked up this book to get workplace advice/guidance from a successful business woman, not parenting work-life-balance advice. Similar books targeted towards men would simply never talk about family as much as this one did, so it felt like this book was a perfect example of the double standard that it was trying to call out.
