I didn’t enjoy this the way I thought I would, but that could be on me. I was expecting a high fantasy, high stakes, enemies to lovers romantasy and it was not that. There were a lot of pages for not a lot of plot and the spice was a bit too spicy (which is something I didn’t think I’d ever be saying). It felt too repetitive and aggressive.
