I knew right off the bat that this was going to be a five star read. Very rarely have I gotten invested in a cast of characters so quickly. It hooked me just a few pages in!
Everything about this book blew my expectations away. The action, the magic system, the worldbuilding, the DELICIOUS slow burn. The banter between the MCs is perfection. It had me tearing up one moment, then laughing out loud another.
Every high and low moment is so intense. I felt genuine terror for every member of the extended cast. It kept me on the edge of my seat. The relief I felt at the end was cathartic.
I can’t wait to see what the next one has in store!
