Before the Coffee Gets Cold by Toshikazu Kawaguchi

5.0

hard to remember the names of the characters just because they’re foreign but slowly got the hang of it
-really enjoyed the first chapter, the lovers, and how it introduces the idea of the coffee shop allowing people to go back in time
-really liked how the ghost woman was reading a book that had the same title of the chapter
-love how it only has a couple of chapters but each chapter goes into different peoples stories
-love how each chapter is about the people that have already been introduced
-the second chapter, Husband and Wife, was incredibly sweet but also super sad
-the third chapter was heart breaking about Hirai and her sister but i’m glad that Hirai is going back and keeping her promise
-the fourth chapter was also bittersweet
-love that it wrapped up everyone’s story, Fumiko and Goro met up after the 3 years and 15 years later are running the cafe alongside Kei’s daughter, Miki
-the ending is really nice how it explains the point of the chair and how it changes peoples hearts even though it doesn’t change the present
