  • Strong character development? Yes

These characters are so well done! The plot in this one is a little light, but the characters round all of it out really well. The 2 MCs feel very real to me. They've been through some stuff, they're a little weary of the world, as well as each other, and as we see them struggle through their feelings, and the baggage of their past, they grow and mature in what felt like a really natural way. I enjoyed the way the romantic relationship progressed and the way you got more insight into some of the friendships as the story moved along. And the way the complicated family stuff wasn't just shoved under the rug, but addressed in what felt like a real way, so the characters could move forward.
