a great book with a fun adventure about candy, magicians, magical candy and kids! It really was fun to read through them being bullied and then having candy to fight back with. It was even funny to read about the adults eating all the fudge, getting lazy and gaining weight. There were so many great details to the story that just really helped it come alive.
And I really liked Nate, Trevor, Summer and Pigeon.
But I thought the story was told very basic (easy reading level for a YA) but the length didn't seem to match the intended reader. It's long. I would have loved to enjoy this with my 3rd grader but I think she would love it until around the 250 page mark where I would lose her and she would want to start a new book....
