Captivated by You
by Sylvia Day
This one had me all up in my feelings. I gave it 5 stars because it gave me exactly what I needed from this point in Eva and Gideon’s story. This book goes deeper. It’s not just about the drama or the heat (though yeah, both are still very much there). It’s about healing, rebuilding trust, and showing what it actually looks like to fight for your relationship, even when it’s messy, hard, and not always pretty.
What made this one stand out for me is that we get so much more from Gideon’s perspective. Seeing things through his eyes? Game changer. It made the story feel even more emotional and raw. You really get to understand how broken he is, how hard he’s trying, and how deep his love for Eva runs. Their connection feels more mature in this book, still intense and passionate, but more grounded. They’re learning how to show up for each other, and that growth made me love them even more.
This whole book felt like a deep breath, still full of tension and emotion, but with more softness, more clarity. It’s about finally getting to a place where love isn’t just surviving… it’s healing. If you’ve made it this far in the series, you have to read this one. It hits different in the best way.
