Riley Sager knew what he was doing when he wrote this book! I loved the atmosphere of this story, with the characters basically secluded in a mansion that's practically falling apart with a woman who is suspected of murdering her whole family. I enjoyed the character of Kit, learning about her backstory and why she had no choice but to care for Lenora. I also liked slowly learning about Lenora and the events that took place the night her family was killed and how we got the information through the typewritten messages she exchanged with Kit. The reveals that happened at the end of the book were so unexpected and out of all the twists we got I was only able to figure out one and part of another. I do feel like there was a moment where it felt like too much was happening at the end with the reveals coming back to back, but overall I enjoyed them. I loved the conclusion and how Sager was able to bring everything together. This book kept me interested from start to finish and I had a great time with this one!
