Did not finish book. Stopped at 0%.
Normally I really enjoy long books with lots of random details about the characters' lives. But this one...it was just too slow paced for me. I didn't like how a lot of the book involved sex with young girls - it seemed incredibly unnecessary and if there was a "point" or "lesson" that the author was trying to make with it, I didn't get it and I think there are much better ways of going about it. Even the main male narrator - he seemed like such a good person until he started describing a young girl's chest. Very off putting for me, and combined with the pace, it quickly lost my attention when I picked up another book. I was pretty disappointed, especially since I got super deep into the book (almost finished book 2, but based on the other reviews, I'm not missing much by stopping). There were so many things that the book offered - a female assassin, a divided cult, a mysterious young author, a fantasy twist with the Little People. But all of it couldn't seem to come together and form a compelling story.
