The Land of Yesterday by K.A. Reynolds

4.0

This Gaimanesque short book is perfect for young readers and adults who love a good children's story!

I was pleasantly surprised after reading Reynold's story about a grieving girl, unlucky days and a house that wants revenge! The worldbuilding is very unique, the storyline is emotional and the resolution of the story, even if predictable at least for me, really hit home.

I think the only issue I identified was that some parts of the story were slow to get engaged with because many things happened sentence per sentence and I couldn't digest all information all at once.

The story is truly therapeutic and it really came to me when I most needed a friend that could understand my own struggle with my mental health.

I will definitely be on the lookout for more books by this author!
