Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher/author for letting me review this book!

This book is just as captivating and beautifully done as other books by this author. She weaves fantasy, mythology, and suspense into a wonderful story that comes alive before your eyes. I don't think there was ever a time during this book that I wasn't invested in knowing what happens next.

Both main characters feel like real people. Both have flaws and strengths. It is wonderful to see their friendship and how both see things differently. The Bi representation was great as well, I felt it was more authentic and I really felt represented unlike some other books I've read with it. It was a point of fact and was not the main focal point of the book, gently woven in and created dimension for the characters.

The atmosphere and plot she creates is absolutely incredible. It is an amazing story about Mexican horror films and nazi occultists. This would be an incredible read for the spooky season!
