ARC review
Tagging Bases had a fun premise, two best friends with unresolved tension, a New Year’s Eve kiss, and the surprise addition of a third love interest months later. The chapter titles were a highlight and the banter (especially involving Daniel and Charlie) often made me smile.
There were definitely some sweet moments and a few quotes that genuinely stuck with me. However, the romance felt uneven. To me, Daniel and Charlie’s dynamic was stronger than their connection with Harrison, who never quite felt like an equal part of the trio. Their relationship jumped from zero to full-blown boyfriends without enough build-up. I found myself wishing for more scenes that actually showcased their chemistry as a MMM and not just telling us it was there.
I can see this working for readers who want something quick and comforting, with low tension. It was still an enjoyable story and there’s potential here, even if this one didn’t fully hit for me.
