A very slow burn friends to lovers. While my top trope, unfortunately the chemistry / dynamic cld be written better in the first half. First 1/3rd of the book was very expository about things i didnt necessarily care about tho it did set a good context. Made me qn if Rory was the actual love interest or was I still "waiting".
But i guess that is a accurate represrntation of Penny herself not seeing what's infront of her so maybe it was intentional. Enjoyed the 2nd half alot more. I related to Penny in many moments.
Felt like Happy Place By Emily Henry's little less refined sibling.
