It's so bad BUT it's SSOOOOOO GOOOOODDDD!!!!
I am so very thankful that I read this as a buddy read and that we took it about 100 pages per day. That's really all I could handle. It did take us 4 years from when we first said we're going to read it together until the time we actually did BUT this book was totally worth it. You do have to be in the right mind space for it though and even then you probably will need something/someone to help you through. I was just utterly destroyed by the end; ugly sobs and all.
While the story is so very heartbreaking, it took my by surprise that it was just so readable. That it's so very engaging and drew me to keep on reading. It is very obvious that the author has done a lot of research and it all came out in a very sensitive and respective way. I might have been torn apart and this book will haunt me the rest of my days but loved it!
