This takes place years prior BUT I will say that the writing style is the same as the first one but w a tint of settling emotions. You get everyones POV & everything connects as you read along til the end. Also the book was a bit thicker than the first. Was all info necessary? Yes (and also to the First book). You get a glimpse of why the 1st Book is the way it is. Although I would love to know how death cast works, I heard the 3rd book is being released soon. Can't wait!
