A Closed and Common Orbit by Becky Chambers
5.0
If we ever get sentient AI's, I will support their rights. Because how could you feel any other way after reading A Closed and Common Orbit?
I was already on board with the Wayfarer's series after reading the first book, but I loved the sequel even more. Chambers has turned sci-fi into the perfect medium for stories about coming into ourselves. Watching Sidra and Pepper/Jane learn who they are was at times heartwrenching, but overall incredibly heartwarming. Filled with hope, realism (especially as it pertained to anxiety), and incredible friendships, A Closed and Common Orbit is a must read.
