The Wonderful Wizard of Oz: 100th Anniversary Edition
by L. Frank Baum
I'm not sure if there's much to be said for a book that I picked up on a whim while struggling with depression. It was exactly what I expected, full of vivid imagery and colorful characters. The story, while nothing deep or too-fleshed out, especially for an adult reader, was fun. I found myself smiling as I read about Dorothy and her adventures through Oz. Whether I pick up the sequels or not is still to be determined, though. A part of me feels like this is fine by itself.
