Scary Stories for Young Foxes by Christian McKay Heidicker
5.0

This book surprised me multiple times, I really enjoyed it, as did my kids. It is legitimately scary too, but our kids active imaginations did fine. There's lots of suspense, some loss, spookiness, and frights, but never crosses the line into horror... or doesn't dwell on stuff long enough to make them horrifying. It made me nervous going in not knowing what to expect, but I'm so glad we read it. I don't really want to say more so as not to spoil it. It's really worthwhile, I may come back to it again someday.
