Flowers in the Attic by V.C. Andrews

I find family dysfunctions so fun to read, specially this kind of dysfunctions, so twisty and dark. And I love when there's a good character to hate, that type of character that makes you so mad that you want to get into the book and beat the shit out of it.
Overall, I enjoyed this a lot, it was my first audiobook and I couldn't stop hearing it, I remember getting a bath with it in the background, but that doesn't mean I didn't find it so long and hard, probably if I was actually reading it I wouldn't have finished it, at least not so easily.
It wasn't hard in a way that it's complicated, but more that a long period of time passed in the book so it was heavy. I saw the movie later and there's an scene where I was like 'OH RIGHT, THAT HAPPENED!!' and even when that was a minor moment in the book and it still happened on the movie, I think the movie still left out a lot of things of this long ass book.
But yes, I really enjoyed it. Would I read it again? No, but definitely I'm happy I've read it once. Do I think the author's writting is good? Of course, just not for me.
