✔️Forbidden romance
✔️Age gap
✔️Slowww burn ( 600+ pages)

There’s a lot of mixed reviews on this book, but I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!🥰 I don’t care for student-teacher tropes, but I just fell in LOVE with Dani and Lachlan’s story.

“𝙈𝙮 𝙨𝙬𝙚𝙚𝙩, 𝘿𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙤𝙣. 𝙈𝙖𝙮 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙖𝙡𝙬𝙖𝙮𝙨 𝙗𝙚 𝙖𝙨 𝙛𝙧𝙚𝙚 𝙖𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙗𝙞𝙧𝙙𝙨, 𝙖𝙨 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙙 𝙖𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙛𝙡𝙤𝙬𝙚𝙧𝙨, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙪𝙣𝙩𝙖𝙢𝙚𝙙 𝙖𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙚𝙖.”

It’s not just some smutty forbidden romance dealing with a high school girl (18) and her guidance counselor (29). It touches on real issues as well, like the school shooting, Dani’s PTSD, and overcoming  trauma. We follow Dani on her journey of finding herself again and through that, her and Lachlan’s love develops.

“𝙄 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙖 𝙘𝙧𝙪𝙨𝙝 𝙤𝙣 𝙢𝙮 𝙨𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙤𝙡 𝙘𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙨𝙚𝙡𝙤𝙧. 𝙄𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙙𝙤𝙚𝙨𝙣’𝙩 𝙨𝙖𝙮 𝙩𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙗𝙡𝙚 𝙄 𝙙𝙤𝙣’𝙩 𝙠𝙣𝙤𝙬 𝙬𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙙𝙤𝙚𝙨.“

It’s 600+ pages, but it’s so addicting that I read it in two days!! Immediately after finishing it, I went back through to reread the Dani and Lachlan parts 😍. Then, I read the novella, Sweet Christmas, which we follow Dani and Lachlan’s first Christmas as a couple (also FIVE STARS). I STILL COULDN’T get enough, so I looked up a “Sweet Dandelion” playlist on Spotify because ya girl was in her FEEEELS 🥺.
