Initial review:

Oh, I loved every minute of this. I want to be best friends with these characters.

Update:

The marketing on this book is completely wrong — the cartoony rom-com cover, the salacious sounding summary, the cutesy little title. This isn’t a romance, it’s a story about deep friendships, loss, and learning how to walk upright after your world is turned upside down. In this case, Eve’s journey includes some romance, but that’s hardly the marquee aspect of the book.

I adored these characters. Their whip-smart, incredibly British banter, even in the face of tragedy, had me actually guffaw out loud a few times. I want to be friends with them. The emotional journeys they take are so realistic, and the payoff at the end is so satisfying.

If you go into this thinking you’re signing up for a spicy little romance novel, you’ll be surprised, but I’d hope not disappointed. First 5-Star read for me in a while, and probably one that will make it on to my end of year favorites list.
