i simply have to wonder if i read the same book as some of these other reviewers. i picked this book up on a whim on my kindle and i wish i could go back in time. i would say we were chillin up until about 40% in or so when both of the main characters seem to have a total personality change and the pacing goes out the window. this relationship is volatile. the characters do not have a singular conversation in this entire damn book, meaningful or otherwise. the main male character says wild, cruel shit all throughout this book to the main female character and it all goes unchecked. and don’t get me started on that first sex scene — what the fuck was that? she’s feeling nothing but pain, tells him to stop, and shit just keeps going??????? no biggie?????? after that i was mentally checked out of this book. ugh. what a fuckin ride (derogatory).
