El Libro de la Vida / The Book of Life by Deborah Harkness

Mixed emotions. On the one hand, I'm sad I finished the book and the series. On the other hand, I'm glad I finally picked up A Discovery of Witches after years on my TBR list.

To summarise, I must say that I enjoyed this book immensely. I liked how most of the conflicts were solved, especially Diana's life. I liked her from the beginning, because she's kind, independent, intelligent and brave, therefore
Spoilerher new life as a powerful witch, wife, mother, professor and the new de Clermont family representative on the Congregation are some features/resolutions didn't surprise me that much.


One of the first resolutions we get is what happened to Emily, although it was something we more or less knew. Then, the story moves slowly through the mystery of The Book of Life and Benjamin, Matthew's son.
SpoilerSomething I didn't see coming was Baldwin's change of heart and Gallowglass' love for Diana. Poor Gallowglass! I really like him, even more than I like Matthew as Diana's partner. He's, definitely, one of the characters I'll miss along with Jack.


Sadly, I can't even write a proper review, because I'll end up giving too much spoilers. So this is my humble opinion of the book
