The Sun Down Motel by Simone St. James

5.0

I don’t like horror or scary stuff but I didn’t mind this book. It definitely held my interest, had me intrigued and was exciting. Even though I didn’t like how it made me feel uncomfortable and spooked, I could respect that it was a unique spooky story. The book alternates chapters and perspectives between Carly in 2017 and Carly’s aunt in 1982. They both worked nights at the haunted motel and have more in common than they thought. I don’t want to read more scary books but I could see how people who like scary stuff would find this book satisfying.
