Starling House by Alix E. Harrow

5.0

Read this for bookclub and absolutely loved it . It was whimsical and gothic all at the same time . Opal and Arthur , coming from two very different sides of the tracks , are pulled together by The mystery of Starling House . The house itself is out for blood and its own agenda . This was an epic story of past trauma and what may lie ahead for those who survive .This book deals with several important real world issues at hand while diving into magical realism . Chances of love in a haunted house , check please ! Definitely recommend.
