I have never DNF a book, so this a first. It was so hard to keep my interest, especially once he explained what the profit first formula is. I felt like it took forever for him to get to the point! I just wanted to know what this “amazing solution” was to all my business financial issues. One of the biggest turn offs is how he sounds like the stereotypical “business guru,” trying SO hard to be funny/relatable while also only discussing businesses that make millions of dollars. It would have been nice to see this from a small business standpoint. But I guess the biggest red flag should have been when he guaranteed that this can work for ANY and ALL businesses and that all businesses would be transformed for the better financially. While I see what he was trying to say, and maybe this new Profit First formula is worth trying (just to see if it actually does work, although I have my doubts about it in the long term) it could have been done within a few chapters and without all the extra fluff. It mostly just felt like he was trying to fill the book up enough to fill a word count or to make it long enough to be an actual book.
