The cover art is really carrying this book because there isn't much of a narrative here. Most books that are traditionally published have to be able to stand on their own with the potential of a series, but there's no act structure here. The sentence structure itself doesn't vary much either. It sounds like they got an amateur voice actor, which I would be down for, but the audio quality isn't quite up to snuff with professional settings; it sounds kind of warped on the backside of words. Not the biggest fan.
The characters are the kind of emotionally immature that makes you think, "why are men allowed to run countries?"
And they killed a horse for no reason. Minus a star for that, specifically.
