Good characters, strong plot, could have used more polishing.

So overall, I liked a lot of elements. The characters were well developed, I grew to like and understand them, and they made sense. The conflicts keeping the main characters apart romantically felt realistic and not frustrating or annoying. The plot was well paced, satisfying, and played with tension very well. I also really liked diving into the world of film and film makeup and felt it was interestingly represented.

My issues were more with the quality of writing unfortunately. A lot of the dialogue felt very unnatural, more like people communicating over chat or message than talking in person. The writing overall felt just a little juvenile.

Overall, I'm glad I read it, I liked the characters and story, just could have used a bit more polishing.
