Perfume: The Story of a Murderer by Patrick Süskind
5.0

I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT.

seeing Grenouille grow up, experience all these kinds of emotional trauma and depravation of affection, and then develop a certain liking for random women's scents, stuck in his mind like a glue, fascinated me so much. What dazzles me reading this throughout is living in a mind of a potential murderer, an envious perfumer, and a father who has this gross desire for his own daughter.

it was nevertheless a very good book, though it took me less than a week to finish bc it has information overload. it's like an almanac of smells coz the book mainly consisted of these rare and unfamiliar names of flowers and some things new to me.

AND DON'T GET ME STARTED ON WHAT HAPPENED ON HI EXECUTION DAY BC I'M STILL SPEECHLESS. OK BYE
